EcoVitality
"A healthy planet is a green planet"
About Us
EcoVitality aims to transform the urbanenvironment into a holistic ecosystem embracing sustainability and inclusion. At the core of this project is the reinvention of underutilized urban spaces, turning into green havens and micro-farms. This initiative adopts a participatory and inclusive approach, placing residents at the heart of every decision and process.

Our Values
Environmental Impact
Environmental impact and its improvement are our top priorities. While there are backup plans for marketing and other aspects, there is no backup planet for us to live on.
Community Economic Development
We aim for a world not only free of the climate crisis but also one that is worth living, were every community has the resources and chance to thrive.
Workforce Skills
An equally critical point. While having good intentions towards the environment is positive, the current state of climate crisis makes it essential to have a well-trained workforce. This is necessary for various reasons, such as dealing with extreme weather events, building resilient infrastructure to effectively contribute to the fight against the climate crisis.
Three Sustainable
Development Goals We Aim To Achieve
SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities: The project focuses on creating green and sustainable urban spaces, which directly aligns with the goal of making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe and sustainable
SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production: Our Social impact group promotes sustainable farming practices, waste reduction, and the responsible use of resources
SDG 13 Climate Action: Greening urban spaces and implementing sustainable agricultural practices help mitigate the urban heat island effect and reduce carbon emissions, contributing to efforts to combat climate change
How do we plan to change things?
In order to facilitate change, it is essential for us to adopt a flexible approach in the development of our impact plan. Our environmental impact group must adopt a decentralized and precise strategy that aligns with our values. This approach should address three distinct areas and disciplines, each requiring careful attention and coordination. Ultimately, success in all these areas is crucial for achieving the impactful change we seek.
What are these three areas that we are targeting ?

Sustainable Infrastructure

With the ongoing climate crisis, it's no secret that many urban centers, especially in Greece, are ill-equipped to cope with extreme weather events. In addressing this, we have two primary goals.
  1. First, in light of the recent catastrophes, it's evident that many cities need to reconfigure their infrastructure to prevent significant portions of their urban areas from turning into flood zones.
  2. This situation also serves as a catalyst for the transformation and revitalization of significant urban areas, enabling us to replace unsustainable cement structures that not only lack sustainability but also contribute to more extensive environmental challenges

Sustainable leadership, upskilling and re-skilling

While transforming physical infrastructure is crucial for change, it's not the sole solution. We must also drive substantial change within organizations to ensure our survival amidst climate challenges. Here are two key aspects:

  1. Organizational leadership must recognize the environmental consequences of their decisions and actively adopt sustainable practices, both measure through metrics and demonstrated by their actions.

2. It's imperative to reskill and upskill professionals across various disciplines, particularly engineers, scientists, and economists, to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for sustainability. As humanity's strength lies in its ability to adapt and evolve, we must adapt to meet our changing needs.

Achieving sustainable Living

This involves awareness regarding the climate crisis, persuading corporations to lean towards this. But it also involves ensuring that local communities are sufficiently developed so they can finally take their first steps towards sustainability. The way to ensure that goes this way:

  1. Advocating for governments to provide financial support to communities for sustainable development is essential. Investing in sustainability is far more cost-effective than dealing with the expensive repairs and damages caused by the ongoing and future impacts of the climate crisis. This approach hinges on effective governance, well-planned projects, and community involvement to ensure that the allocated funds are used efficiently and transparently.
  2. Local communities understanding the need for self-sufficiency and such improving their economy so that they can have sustainable development and focusing on that goal.
  3. We have the obligation to empower local communities by providing them with the necessary resources, education, and support to take proactive steps towards sustainability. This includes initiatives for renewable energy, waste reduction, and sustainable agriculture, along with educational programs that promote climate awareness and environmental responsibility at the grassroots level.
Our app
In collaboration with local experts and organizations, we conduct a thorough evaluation of the community’s needs. Our websites and app becomes an essential tool, facilitating data collection and accurately identifying optimal locations for green space or micro-farms.

Meetings and workshops are orchestrated to bring the community together and actively involve them in the planning. This plays a crucial role by providing a virtual space for ongoing discussions and dynamic community collaboration.

Identified spaces aren’t just transformed, they evolve into genuine green heavens and micro farms, utilizing sustainable agricultural practices such as permaculture, agroforestry, and aquaponics. It also transforms into a dynamic education platform, offering workshops and online courses to guide residents in the journey of sustainable urban green spaces.
